About AJ:

I have always been interested in drawing and painting, and in high school I fell in love with photography after taking my first darkroom class. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in a creative field, and graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. I have been working as a full-time graphic designer for the past 10 years and decided to start A Modern Focus to get a wider variety of design projects coming my way AND keep my love of photography alive!

About Patrick:

I have been working and teaching in the IT industry for over nine years. My love of photography grew from an occasional hobby to being a driving force in obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree. I am technical minded and love my gadgets! My attention to detail lends itself to producing quality images, while my technical side allows me to create engaging websites.

Miss Sifl, Quality Control Manager
Sifl uses her naturally finicky nature to make sure things are running smoothly around AMF’s headquarters. When she is not controlling the quality around here, she enjoys playing fetch with her yellow foam ball and testing her jumping skills on the door frames.

Mr. Olly, Chief Security Officer
Olly, aka Olly Baba, is our Chief Security Officer. He watches the goings on and goes into full growl mode whenever someone comes near our door. He loves to throw his weight around and is prone to impromptu wrestling matches with Sifl just to keep his skills up to par. When he isn’t manning his post, he enjoys playing with his stuffed geckos.

Chester, Customer Relations Manager
Our newest member Chester enjoys spreading the love. A self starter and independent type, he knows when to stop by and improve your mood, bestowing positive vibes to all who are around. When Chester isn’t keeping the mood up, he enjoys trying out new napping spots, batting around his chew fish, and trying to hang out with Sifl and Olly.
