WSAZ Wrestling Invitational
I had the opportunity to shoot some sports action during the WSAZ Wrestling Invitational on Saturday evening in Huntington at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. I was able to photograph the final match for the 189 lbs. weight class, between Jacob D. from HHS and Tim D. from Commodore Perry, Pa.
I had the pleasure of photographing Jacob’s senior session in September of last year. His parents inquired about getting some photographs of his final wrestling season, and I was happy I could be there to capture some images. It was an exciting match!
Jacob won the match and got first place! Here are a few images from the evening.
Our First Graphic Design Award
At the end of 2008, I decided to enter a package design contest presented by Graphic Design USA. I entered a bag design we did for a popcorn company in Columbus, Ohio. We were surprised and pleased to find out we were honored with an award. Below you can read the blurb that was printed in our local newspaper. A Modern Focus is now an award-winning company!

Christina: Senior Session
On January 2nd, I headed out and about with Christina, a senior from Hurricane High School, for her senior session. The weather was cold, but sunny so we were able to get some great outdoor shots. She took me to one of her old hangouts which had some awesome graffiti behind the building that provided some colorful backdrops. I’d like to thank Vince at Now Hear This for letting us shoot in his record store during part of the session. I had a great time photographing Christina, and I wish her the best.
